A Frozen Morning

Golden radius blends the azure skies
In harmonious quiet resonance,
Surrounded by frozen fields that hide the brimming life
Of crystallised distance and tender minds,
We walk along the twisting river bank
As unclothed hands tingle with the anticipation
Of each other loving touch, graceful instigation,
A winters tale of life as clear as water,
Before the high definition mirage
Of reality manipulates the blurred lines,
But those were thoughts for other times,
There is no sound surrounding this picture,
A pastoralist reenactment of loves calm days,
Detested by romantic thoughts, but here through other ways,
Along the banks the river churns with voice
Perhaps it is our innermost secrets shuddering,
Preparing to defend themselves against the ice,
Lies that blend the dreams of vintage days
As sinister as whirlpools beneath the emotions
Of the world we’ve left behind, memories fade,
Inexorably, slowly, meeting little resistance
Of the thoughts that come as particles dissolve,
Our fingers brush,
And there is that rush, ecstasy of hopes that stream
Within the seams of possibilities requiem,
The frosty fields of lovers sealed together
In their absence to emotive meanings,
As from the azure heavens the dreams
Reach their final destination,
And we must part, heart in heart,
Until once more to walk on a frozen frosty morning.

  1. Impressive verses….
Along the banks the river churns with voice
Perhaps it is our innermost secrets shuddering,
Preparing to defend themselves against the ice,
Lies that blend the dreams of vintage days
Thank you Phen!. Happy weekend ahead to you! Aquileana 😀
