I saw a star fall to ground,
Commitment and deliverance
Masquerading as profound
Mournful truth and innocence,
But galaxies and endless time
Expel the tumbling sublime,

Sitting back, I watch destruction,
Humanity’s honest heart
As beauty’s naked lost reaction,
Reveal ruinations part,
Half the circle of universal sincerity,
The mocking call of false deity,

Always clandestine, birth and death
In awe of celestial reaching,
Always honest, rebirth and theft,
Heaven and mortality’s teaching,
That sorrow of a falling promise
Is never the soul of a hollow commit.

  1. I read this three times. This IS very profoundly well written. Johnny and I rarely overlap blogs. He stole the words right out of my mouth. Exceptional. Really.
