Goodbye Blue Eyes

I am
An almost person,
Sleepless pneuma
Wandering through
Derelict untenanted streets,
Individuality has no place
When angels stand
Stone and cold,
The obsolete singularity
Of corruptions state,
We walk the winding path
To the lighthouse steps,
Maybe I am saved
Within its radiant gaze,
Goodbye blue eyes,
Does tomorrow hold
Answers beside the way?
Bringing slumber
To antediluvian stray,
Until whole
I am.

  1. Some of favorite words ever written by anyone. That’s really impressive to me: “I am /
An almost person,”. I like how you you split the lines too. The whole poem is fantastic.

    1. Thank you so much 🙂 I thought the split would be great there. It plays on the idea of consciousness, “I am”, but questions this with the “an almost person” 🙂
