Stay

What dreams of us
could we shed,
When dreams are often
where we’re led,
On futures fruit
we’ve often fed,
Sleeping in our
soft subtle bed.

And time is hanging
by our hand
So softly softly
make a stand,
Could anything else
here be planned?
Craving our own
piece of land.

And what if all
We did was flay
The dreams dreamt
On a foreign day,
When flowers colour
Fades away,
I’ll beg you often,
Stay, please stay.

This piece struck a chord with me. Very nicely written. The choice of words and the flow were both nicely done.
