Dark Waters

I thought of you today,
How you went away,
Told me you couldn’t stay,
That you couldn’t handle
A relationship with anyone,
You needed time and space,
Yet, you ran into his arms,
Now memories rush
Around me like arctic winds
Hurling dangerously about
My brittle failing bow,
Against me crashes
The titanic waves
Of your deceits and lies,
You were my iceberg,
Leaving me damaged,
Sinking in the ancient waters,
No lifeboats left,
I sink further and further
Into the chaotic abyss
Below my surface,
Lost to dark waters.
