Raindrops Like Atom Bombs

The rain cried upon the earth
Drenching all below with life,
Amorphous cat-and-dog howling
Their cascading misty chorus,
Clouds burst with raindrops,
Miniature atom bombs
Exploding across the ground,
Flood and flurry, hailing banshee,
Sheets fall with liquid sunshine,
A deluge of heavy dew,
Godly monsoon hammering over head,
And from its stormy waters
Life is born, grows, nurtures,
The nourishment of all things,
Human, animal, plant,
Tears of Mother Earth,
Vibrating and reverberating,
Echoes of her soul
To show her love for us all.
