Once I was…

once I was

Once I was shelter, but now I crumble

Once I exuded warmth, but now only cold

Once I held laughter and cheer and love

But now I hold only ghosts

Once with in my walls a life faded away

But under my roof so many lived

Once my body was a haven, a home

But now… now I fade
